TAKE ADMISSIONS TEST:

Degree or Diploma student? You’ll be required to take an Admissions Test.

Certificate student? Many certificate students don’t need to take the Admissions Test. However, Welding Certificate students must take the Admissions Test Math test portion.

Details about the test: It’s free, and we’ll provide a calculator. There are two 30-minute tests. One is Math, and covers fractions, decimals, and measurements. The other is a Reading Comprehension test. If a student doesn’t pass the first time, two retakes are allowed. After that, students must wait until the following Trimester to retest.

Test Exemptions:

  • There are no exemptions for the Math portion of the Admissions Test.
  • Students who have an 18 reading score (or higher), and an 18 composite, on the ACT do not need to take the Reading Comprehension test portion.

To learn more about exemptions, please speak with Admissions Office staff

Taking the ACT? Send your ACT score to Moore Tech.
Our College Code is 4042.

PROVIDE PROOF OF HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION: Here’s how that works.

Degree or Diploma student? To apply for an Associate Degree Program or a Diploma Program, we need your official high school transcript (and an official transcript from your post-secondary institution, if applicable).

Certificate student? Certificate Program applicants must provide proof of graduation in the form of a photocopy of your diploma or GED, or of your high school transcripts. You may also provide official transcripts if desired.

Here are some resources that may be helpful as you request a copy of your transcript:

MORE INFO ABOUT THE APPLICATION PROCESS:

Registration Deposit: A $500 registration deposit is required, prior to enrollment in classes. Wait to pay this deposit until you have passed the Admissions Test.

Background Checks: These are run on all students. Moore Tech reserves the right to reject applications for admission. However, a felony will not necessarily bar an applicant from admission. Talk to an Admission representative for more information.

Financial Aid: It’s important to get started right away with the financial aid process. You can complete a FAFSA application at no cost, and this is required for financial aid. You can also reach out to our Financial Aid Counselor via email or phone (901.726.1977) to understand more about this important process.
